GoLow Protection Policy

How trip liability and vehicle damage coverage work on every GoLow reservation.

A marketplace, not an insurer

GoLow LLC is a technology marketplace that connects vehicle Hosts with Guests. GoLow does not own, operate or insure any vehicle. The rental agreement on each trip is between the Host and the Guest.

To give both sides confidence, every booking includes mandatory trip liability protection arranged through GoLow, and Guests can choose an optional Vehicle Protection plan that limits their financial responsibility for eligible damage to the Host's car.

Trip Liability Coverage (mandatory)

Every booking includes a flat USD 45 GoLow Trip Protection fee, which provides trip liability coverage for injury or property damage to others during the trip.

This coverage is specific to the rental period and is separate from the Host's personal auto policy. Exact limits, exclusions and claim procedures are disclosed at checkout and in the rental terms accepted before payment.

Vehicle / Physical Damage Protection (optional)

Guests choose a plan at checkout. Each plan limits the Guest's responsibility for eligible damage to the shared vehicle up to a set deductible.

Vehicle Protection is a damage-responsibility program, not an insurance policy sold by GoLow. Guests who decline remain responsible for the full cost of damage and must authorize a refundable security hold.

What Hosts should know

  • Trip liability coverage is paid by the Guest as part of the mandatory GoLow Trip Protection fee. You do not need to collect it or manage it.
  • Your personal auto policy may not cover rentals-for-hire. Contact your own insurer to confirm whether a personal, commercial or peer-to-peer policy is right for your vehicle.
  • Keep your registration, insurance documents and vehicle photos up to date in your Host dashboard. GoLow reviews insurance before a listing can be published.
  • Inspect the car at pickup and return, document the condition with photos, and report any damage through your Host dashboard within 24 hours.
  • All trip communication should stay on GoLow chat so there is a clear record if a claim arises.

How damage claims work

  1. Document immediately. Take clear photos of the damage, the surrounding area, the odometer and any relevant road or weather conditions.
  2. Report through GoLow. Open the reservation in your Host dashboard and use the damage-report flow. Include photos, a description and any police or incident report numbers.
  3. Guest responsibility is applied. The Guest is responsible up to the deductible of the plan they selected, or the full repair cost if they declined Vehicle Protection.
  4. Resolution. GoLow coordinates payment, capture or hold release based on the documentation and the terms accepted at booking.

Important legal note

The coverage descriptions, rates and deductibles on this page are the GoLow program design and are subject to approval by a licensed insurance carrier and Florida counsel before they become binding coverage. They are not legal or insurance advice.

The version of these protections that applies to a specific booking is the one accepted by the Guest at checkout, together with the Terms and Conditions in effect at that time.
