Frequently asked questions
Everything about booking, listing, payouts and protection on GoLow.
Renting a car
How does booking work?
Search by city, zip code or address, pick your dates, and book in minutes. Your reservation is confirmed by email once the Host approves it.
What do I pay at checkout?
You see every line before you pay: daily rate, 10% GoLow service fee, liability fee, protection and tax. No hidden charges at pickup.
What is the security hold on my card?
GoLow places a refundable authorization hold of 20% of the base trip amount (minimum $500, maximum $2,500) as the liability insurance deductible. It is not a charge — it is released after the trip ends and the car is returned in order.
Can I cancel my reservation?
Yes. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before pickup receive a 100% refund. Inside 24 hours the refund is 50%. GoLow Plus members cancel free any time before pickup.
Listing your car
Who can list a car on GoLow?
Anyone — individual Hosts and independent rental companies. Create an account, sign the Host Agreement, add your car with photos, price and availability, and it appears in search.
How much do Hosts earn?
Hosts keep 80% of the base rental rate on every booking. GoLow's commission is 20% — that is the only platform fee for Hosts. There are no listing fees and no hidden fees.
How do payouts work?
Connect your bank account once through our secure payment provider. After each completed trip your earnings are transferred automatically. You can also request a manual payout from your dashboard.
GoLow Plus
What is GoLow Plus?
A membership with separate benefits for Guests and Hosts: free cancellations before pickup, a waived 10% service fee for Guests, featured placement and a special-offer commission for Hosts.
What happens if my membership payment fails?
You have a 7-day grace period to update your card. After that, Plus benefits pause until the payment succeeds.
Safety and responsibility
Who is responsible for damage or accidents?
GoLow is a marketplace and does not own, inspect or operate any vehicle. The rental agreement is between the Host and the Guest. The Guest is responsible for the liability fee and the insurance deductible, as described in the Terms and Conditions accepted at checkout.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. Payments are handled by a certified payment provider, files are private, and we never sell personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
